Giridhar Veerula, MD, FAAP

In 1979, I began my medical career after graduating from the Institute of Medical Sciences at Osmania University in Hyderabad, Southern India. I briefly practiced in India and Jamaica, W.I., before completing my pediatric residency in Galveston, Texas. In 1995, I established Jefferson Pediatrics with the belief that all children should have access to comprehensive preventative medicine. Throughout the years, my staff and I have worked to create a patient-friendly environment where parents feel heard and children receive exceptional healthcare. Our practice specializes in a holistic approach that emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle and focuses on individualized care. In 2014, I became certified in holistic integrated medicine to better provide a more personalized approach. I specialize in integrative medicine and holistic pediatrics, with a special focus on autism, lactation consultation, and wellness changes. In 2024, we are proud to announce the expansion of our practice to include adults. Our name has officially changed to Jefferson Pediatrics & Family Medicine with the addition of my son, Dr. Vijay Veerula. He shares my passion and commitment to holistic preventative care. Vijay Veerula DO, FAAFP,
Board Certified Osteopathic Family Medicine
Dr. Vijay Veerula earned his medical degree from Liberty University, specializing in Osteopathic Family Medicine. He completed his residency in 2024 at The Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. ​ As an Osteopathic Family Medicine Physician, he focuses on holistic care, combining traditional methods with osteopathic techniques. He trained in holistic & integrative medicine under his father, Dr. Giridhar Veerula, and late brother, Dr. Vishaal Veerula. With a focus on patient-centered, whole-family care, Dr. Vijay offers a wide range of in-office treatments including OMT for pain, tension, and feeding issues. He specializes in laser frenectomies and OMT aftercare. His approach emphasizes structural balance and root-cause treatment to support healthy development for all ages. Our office adopts a holistic, integrative approach to medicine, treating the whole person instead of just the symptoms. Dr. Vijay Veerula utilizes osteopathic principles to address pain management, pregnancy complications, birth trauma, and frenectomy aftercare through procedures like osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and non-invasive laser therapies. Rebecca Blume, PA-C
Certified Physicians Assistant
​Rebecca has been a pediatric primary care clinician since 2003, specializing in preventative care as well as the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions like asthma, eczema, and mental health issues (ADHD, anxiety, depression).​Since 2015, she has furthered her training in functional medicine and applied it in her practice. Her mission is to prevent and reverse chronic illnesses in adolescents by collaborating with patients and their families on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management. ​ Rebecca is also a certified health coach through the NCCA-accredited American Council on Exercise (ACE) and offers personalized health coaching services at Blumewholehealth.com
Brittany Schoenle, PA-C
Certified Physicians Assistant
Brittany graduated from Indiana University in 2010 with a degree in Applied Health Sciences and completed a dietetics internship at the University of Northern Colorado. After becoming a Registered Dietitian, she earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Saint Francis in 2013. Shortly after graduating, Brittany joined the Jefferson Pediatrics team and works closely with children and their families through a collaborative care approach. She is dedicated to the health and well-being of her patients, striving to offer holistic treatment options when possible. She understands and emphasizes the importance of patient education and fostering healthy habits at a young age. Brittany is passionate about helping children lead healthy, happy lives!
Lisa Tucker-Moellering, CPNP-PC
Lisa has 25 years of pediatric experience, 9 of those as a Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified in Pediatrics, specializing in preventative care as well as chronic health conditions. She is passionate about helping children lead happy, healthy lives.
